Wow we are in Swaziland! What a crazy last couple months in Asia but these first couple weeks in Africa have been amazing. Swaziland is such a beautiful place and the people here are filled with the joy and love of the Lord. We’ve been here for only 3 weeks and it’s already been so busy but so amazing.
We started with awakening which is when 3 squads of different trips are all in the same country and came together for 5 days of fellowship and refreshment before heading to ministry. Those 5 days were filled with teachings, worship, and great fellowship. During this time I had been praying for a refreshment of my soul and heart before going into ministry here in Swazi. And let me tell you, the Lord answered that prayer. The Lord continued to reveal to me what it means to have full dependency on Him and the Holy Spirit. Through that I realized how worthy He is of our everything and how cool the Holy Spirit is. Like the Holy Spirit is the one who gives us the gifts we hold, the understanding we need, and the revelation required to grow. All to say, awakening was definitely the few days I needed to be refreshed in the Lord and to just enjoy life with the people around me.
Then we had a few days of ministry but it was mostly us getting acquired to our home base for the next months and putting together plans and team for meals, ministry, and such. We are staying at a bible college in Manzini Swaziland, some of us are in the dorm rooms and some are in tents. But we get to cook all our meals during our time here which is such a great bonding experience for everyone. Our ministry is, on mondays we have ATL(ask the Lord) so it’s basically us in town talking and praying for people as the Lord leads us. Then tuesday through friday we are at care points. A care point is a place for kids to come to get food and water for that day but it’s also a safe place to recieve love and care and discipleship. At my care point we have a preschool for half the day then a ton of kids come after they get out of school to play games with us and receive their meals. most of our time there is spent playing with the younger kids until the older ones come. It’s a really sweet time to connect with them and give them the love and affection they need.
After two days of ministry and our adventure day and sabbath we headed back to our hostel for PVT. It was a really sweet time for me to spend with my mom and catching up with her about everything back home and here now. I also really enjoyed getting to know everyone else’s parents and have fun times with them at ministry too.
After that we headed into our week of debrief. This week we focused on processing through our time in India, Nepal, awakening, and PVT. It’s also been so so nice to be able to slow down and process all the things that have happened the past 3 months. But most importantly a time to slow down and rest in the Lord. I’ve really enjoyed spending time with the squad and hearing their hearts and all that the lord has done. The Lord has brought great revelation upon me and has revealed a lot deep within my heart.
All of this to say, the Lord has moved so much and is still moving so much. It’s been really great to be back with everyone and have space to be poured into and pour out more. I’ve loved these last couple weeks and I can’t wait to see how the Lord moves in the next month of ministry here in Swazi!! I love you all and I’m so thankful for all the support. Please continue praying for me and my squad but also Swazi!!!
